"When I first came to Anthea in June 2019, I was extremely uneducated about nutrition and training, I was binging almost everyday on foods that didn’t make me feel good, I didn’t work out at all, and when I wasn’t at work, I was doing one of two things - eating or sleeping. After reaching an all time low, I was eager to make a change. I was scared to get started with a coach, as I was worried I would be judged or put myself down if I wasn’t able to do something I was told during a training session. Anthea had been such an inspiration to me for so long now, and getting her as my coach was the best thing I ever did.

Our 1:1 sessions are the best, she makes me feel so confident in the gym - that even when I train by myself, I do my own thing and couldn’t care less about what the people around me think. During lockdown, the training plans she provided made me feel as if it was one of our sessions in person, every workout was so effective and I’d always feel great.

She has taught me so much about nutrition and training and with Anthea’s constant support and guidance in the past year, I’ve sustainably lost 11kg. I’ve adapted a healthy lifestyle, one that I enjoy, one where I don’t feel restricted from living my life. Anthea has increased my awareness on the importance of staying active everyday, which has helped me so much physically and mentally. When I first started, I thought I would obsess over what I looked like physically, but as time goes on, I’ve shifted my focus to feeling strong, the physical changes are a bonus ;). Just do it, you will not regret this investment; coaching with Anthea has been the best money I've ever spent. 

When I first started with Anthea (Feb 2020) I was clueless in all areas of training and nutrition, I experienced guilt after eating, had an emotional attachment to the number on the scale (it would literally dictate if I had a good or bad day) and was going around in circles with what diet to try next. I really wanted to take a leap and dig deep, I knew there was a better version of myself itching to get to the surface, I just needed some help in trying to find her (Thank you Anthea <3).

Through Anthea's guidance my main objective was to transform my physique, which I have done, but I didn't realise the impact her coaching would have on my mindset and I believe that has been my biggest (and proudest) transformation.  

By having Anthea as my coach, she has helped me achieve many strength goals, body composition goals and even career goals. 

Anthea's style of coaching is so unique; mental wellbeing is always #1, she is extremely supportive, knowledgeable and considerate. My favourite part is probably check-in day because of the amount of support and in-depth responses you receive from her always leave you feeling more empowered and motivated to continue to thrive and get stronger 😉. "As soon as I met Mona, she not only asked me about my training/strength goals, but she asked about me as a person, what my life looked like, and what I was actually wanting out of a coach. Mona will hype you up and validate you with your wins but also challenge and push you with your losses. I’ve had to be really vulnerable with Mona and address so many of my own insecurities and self-inflicted barriers, but she makes the relationship feel so safe and open that it doesn’t feel hard to do this. Anyone who knows Mona will agree that she is a ray of light, and I feel so blessed to have met her not only as a coach but just as a person.

I’ve gained SO much self-awareness and insight into how I approach training and nutrition (both my strengths and my weaknesses). I feel like I’ve been able to gain such a deeper understanding of this whole process and how it relates specifically to me. I have learnt that we as women are all so different, and comparing yourself to another woman with regards to how they look, how much they can lift, or how their body moves just won’t get you anywhere. I feel really valued and heard by Mona, and she has educated me so much on things that I had never even considered to be important. More specifically, I’ve gained a whole lot of physical strength, I’ve improved my form on my compound lifts, I’ve seen significant body recomp, and I’ve been able to do things that I thought may not even be possible for me.

“Anthea has been my coach for over a year now and has been absolutely amazing! My expectations were that I would simply be provided with a workout program and get stronger, but I have received so much more than that. I have learnt about nutrition and what it means to eat healthy without having to completely cut out the foods I love. I now know what I am putting into my body and understand what different nutrients can give me. I have learnt it’s okay to eat more and surprisingly see the changes I want.

The weekly check ins are super helpful to keep me accountable and she does a great job at making me feel like we are in person. She not only gives me things to work on during the week and how I can improve, but always points out when I have done well and is incredibly supportive. Having a supportive coach is something I value and can be hard to get in other coaches who instead look at what you aren’t doing.

Anthea can always accommodate for any client in different situations. Being a full-time uni student, part time worker - fitting in my training gets hard at times, Anthea gives me strategies for time management and will always do her best to work around your schedule. If you put heaps of effort into your training, nutrition and diary, Anthea will put just as much effort into your feedback, suggestions and support. 

Lastly, something Anthea focuses on is mindset, and it is everything. I have fallen in love with being fit and healthy rather than doing everything to get a ‘perfect body’. This mindset of changing my lifestyle has been life changing and these skills that Anthea has helped me acquire is something I will take with me for life.”

“I am so beyond glad I took the step to work with Anthea. She has been so supportive and encouraging throughout my journey. When I first started looking into the health and fitness world, before working with a proper coach, I had no idea what to expect or how to approach it. My first session at the gym was 20 mins on the treadmill and leaving because I was too self conscious and unsure of how to do anything else. That all changed after my first session with Anthea. I felt capable and sure of myself and after a week I was more confident in the gym than ever. Things that I thought were my weaknesses became my strengths overnight.

Like most people, I was feeling lost, disinterested and that I wasn’t truly pushing or reaching my full potential in relation to my physical and mental self. I was sick of going around in the same cycles I had for years and never feeling like I was growing or pushing myself out of my comfort zone. I wanted to make a change and search for a coach that aligned with my values, goals and someone that I connected with and that understood what I wanted. 

This is where my path crossed with an incredibly insightful, caring and encouraging coach - Anthea. 

I truly can’t describe this woman as a coach. She has the perfect balance of nurturing you but also keeping you accountable and responsible for your goals and progress.
