ANTHEA WOODRUFF

Hello there! I'm Anthea, the founder and head coach here at Thrive.

My passion lies in nurturing deep connections and witnessing the women I work with completely transform their lives, radiating confidence and strength.

My fitness journey began at a young age, diving headfirst into the weight loss and fitness craze like most. After running myself into the ground and doing everything I could to hold onto an unsustainable level of leanness, I started to realise how important my health was after losing my cycle for 2 years and dealing with extensive body image issues. This is where my passion and interest in women’s health began and started flourishing.

My life took a transformative turn when I embraced the world of the gym and strength training, inspiring me to become a coach 5 years ago. With a Bachelor's degree in Exercise and Sports Science, 7 years of lifting experience, and a background in both bodybuilding and powerlifting, I have refined my coaching approach over the years. I've guided countless women from diverse backgrounds, both in-person and online, fine-tuning the most effective and sustainable methods for building muscle, losing fat, and cultivating strength and confidence, both inside and outside the gym.

My coaching approach is unique as I place a large emphasis on mindset, behaviour, and lifestyle to ensure I have a lasting, positive impact on every individual I work with.

My ultimate aim is to help you fall head over heels for your training, nutrition, and, most importantly, yourself. It's time to unleash the boss (hot) bitch that is within you!!!!

MONA EL-HUSSEIN

Hey Queens, My Name is Mona and I am the second coach here at Thrive Stronger!

Having experience serving hundreds of people from diverse backgrounds, I have found an abundant passion for coaching females. I love empowering females to become their strongest, most competent and confident selves. I see strong value in my ability to assist with your relationship with food, training and yourself whilst aiming to remove the negative stigmas associated with eating and lifting weights. 

In addition to being a qualified Personal Trainer and having 4+ years in the fitness industry,  I have a Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science, majoring in Strength & Conditioning and have completed an internship at Core Advantage. This has allowed me to work alongside some of the best Strength and Conditioning coaches in the industry and gain invaluable experience.

My fitness journey didn’t start off with all sunshine and rainbows. I, much like a lot of females starting their journey, got sucked into the never-ending cycle of experimenting with bullsh*t methods like yo-yo diets, juice cleanses, fat-loss shakes and excessive cardio. It was up until a few years ago that I discovered there was a much more enjoyable and healthy way of achieving my goals, whilst finally gaining freedom and falling in love with the process along the way. These experiences have each led me to being the coach I am today and I can’t wait to assist other high achieving women to reach their goals and full potential! xx
